Chris Cates

What's up everybody! My name is Chris Cates and I was born on April, 25 1984 in good ole Memphis, TN. After high school I attended The University of Memphis majoring in Business Administration. While going to school I did what most students did - worked, partied, and just tried to make the best with what I had.

I got into modeling after the photographer Tarrice Love contacted me about shooting. I had never done it before and was hesitent but eventually we made it happen. After that first shoot I was hooked. The pictures turned out better then I could have imagined!.

Soon after that I was picked up by a scout (Len at I Model Management) and was placed in NYC with Silver Model Management. Now as if that was exciting enough, a few days later I get the call that I booked L'uomo Vogue with the amazing Bruce Weber!

I am now in NYC working hard to make this dream come true. I have done a couple editorials since L'uomo and I just got word that I have now been picked up by Michele Pommier in Miami.

I am grateful for everything that has happened so far and would like to thank all the photographers and crew I have had the pleasure to work with. You all have been extremely helpful!
