David Beckham not very good in Math
Soccer superstar David Beckham, whose mental agility has been questioned before in the British media, has said his six-year-old son's maths homework leaves him baffled.

The England captain and Real Madrid midfielder was forced to call on his wife Victoria, a former member of the Spice Girls pop group, to help their son Brooklyn with a school assignment because the footballer found the sums too difficult.

"Their homework is so hard these days," Beckham, 30, said in an interview with the Mail on Sunday. "It's totally done differently to what I was teached (sic) when I was at school, and you know I was like 'Oh my God, I can't do this'."

Multi-millionaire Beckham, who has become regular tabloid fare because of his dress sense and hairstyles, said after failing in mathematics he offered to read a book with Brooklyn instead.

Nick Lachey Seeks Financial Support from Jessica
Nick Lachey is seeking spousal support from estranged wife Jessica Simpson. The pop star - who recently split from the singer-turned-actress - has reportedly filed papers reserving the right to seek financial support from his soon-to-be ex-wife.

When sexy Jessica filed for divorce last year, she asked the court not to award him support - which is usually claimed by wives from their ex-husbands.

In Nick's response, he asked the court to confirm that "miscellaneous jewellery and other personal effects" remain separate property, as well as his earnings after the date of separation and other assets.

In papers, the heartthrob star states the couple separated on December 13, but blonde Jessica claims they split on November 23.

The discrepancy in the dates is particularly relevant because of the $1million sum the Dukes Of Hazzard beauty earned during those weeks.

Under California divorce laws, Jessica may be forced to share with the money with Nick depending on the final legal ruling. It had already been rumoured the couple's divorce could get nasty - because the pair didn't sign a pre-nuptial agreement.

The Newlyweds stars were so smitten with each other when they tied the knot in 2002 they decided against signing one of the popular agreements, which dictates who gets which assets if a couple split.
