R&B star D'Angelo in car accident
US R&B singer D'Angelo is recovering after being thrown from his car in a road accident in Virginia last week.

The 31-year-old was ejected from his vehicle when it crossed a roadway and struck a fence on 19 September.
D'Angelo - real name Michael Eugene Archer - was hospitalised for several days but is now recuperating at home.
"I banged up my ribs, but other than that I'm fine," he said on Monday. The singer won a Grammy award for best male R&B vocal performance in 2000.
"He has no cast on his body," said his lawyer, L Londell McMillan. "He's walking around and he's certainly talking."
Lynne Sellers, whom D'Angelo says was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident, was also injured.
The R&B singer's car was seriously damaged in the accident
The singer was arrested in January after marijuana and cocaine were found in his car at a police traffic stop.
Just prior to the accident he was given a three-year suspended sentence for cocaine possession.
He was also found guilty of marijuana possession and driving under the influence of alcohol, charges that led to his driving licence being suspended for 18 months.
According to his lawyer, D'Angelo - who has not released an album since 2000's Voodoo - is keen to return to the studio.
"He is anxious to finish the recording of his soul masterpiece that the world has patiently awaited," he said.
