BIOGRAPHY Lance Gross, born July 8, 1981, in Oakland, California, is an American actor.
Gross is a rising young star in the field of acting. He received his Bachelor of Arts in theatre from Howard University and trained at The Ivanna Chubbuck Studio and Tasha Smith Acting Studio. Originally wanted to become a professional track and field athlete, he turned it down in order to pursue his dream of acting.
The change of career reaped its reward as Gross won a NAACP Image Award for his portrayal of Calvin Payne in the TBS sitcom Tyler Perry's "House of Payne," and other Tyler Perry productions such as the Meet The Browns film. He has also been on "The Bernie Mac Show" as well as " Eve." In addition to acting, Gross has appeared in music videos for R&B stars Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Angela Simmons, Kelis,Mary J.
